The Northern Basque Country ("Iparraldea") is made up of three historic provinces: Labourd, Lower Navarre and Soule, in the Atlantic Pyrenees Department.

Intercommunality: conurbation committee (Bayonne - Anglet - Biarritz) and 9 associations of municipalities (Amikuze, Bidache, Garazi-Baigorri, Hasparren, Iholdi-Oztibarre, Nive-Adour, Soule, Errobi, South Basque Country).
