           <title><![CDATA[Nicole Lougarot]]></title>

           <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.eke.org/kultura/lekukoak_lekuko/lougarot_nicole/lougarot_nicole.jpg"><p><strong>Nicole Lougarot</strong> (1963 - Gotein, Soule) is a member of the Hebentik cultural association. She owes her fame in the world of Basque culture thanks to her book <em>"Bohemians" </em>(2009, Gatuzain). By studying the Bohemian people, she has transformed Basque society and the mascarades in Soule. She has since then studied this subject in greater detail, travelling and writing several articles. She reviews the situation and comments on the current difficulties faced by the mascarade.</p>]]></description>

           <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.eke.org/kultura/lekukoak_lekuko/landart_daniel/landart_daniel.jpg"><p><strong>Daniel Landart</strong> (1946 -Saint-Esteben, Lower Navarre) has retired from his position as assistantmanager of the Basque Cultural Institute. He recently published <a href="http://www.eke.org/kultura/literatura/durango_azoka_2011/berritasunak_2011/ahularen_indarra">Ahularen Indarra (Elkar)</a> thus revisiting his first success, <em>Aihen Ahula</em>, a book whichhe has rewritten and enriched with new adventures. Here he talks about hislife, his concerns and his fears... for pleasure and also for need. Hischildhood memories and his first steps in the world of printing are honoured inthis first part, whilst awaiting the publication of the second volume.</p>]]></description>

He has just published "Gaumin", his own publishing house. Within the framework of the BCI's <a href="http://hogeita.com/">Hogei’ta</a> project in partnership with the CPIE in Hendaye and Euskal Idazleen Elkartea (Basque Writers' Association), he is currently in residence at the Nekatoenea farm on the Abbadia estate until 20 November. He aims to write an adventure novel taking inspiration from his own dreams.</p>]]></description>

With the publication of his latest book <em>Zorionak Marko</em> (Elkar), he has extended his pallet to children's literature. Here he presents this work, and also takes a brief look at journalism, literature and improvisation. He highlights a still apparent border between the Northern and Southern Basque Country.</p>]]></description>

He has high expectations for the Basque Cultural Institute's <em><strong>Itsasturiak</strong></em> mobile exhibition presented in Saint-Jean-de-Luz: a tool for passing on and communicating in order to develop the occupation of sailor-fisherman, often tainted with a negative image in recent times.</p>]]></description>

The EliralE company asked her to create the logo for its latest work, <em>Niñika</em>, a dance and play performance for children inaugurated this spring. The artist's challenge has been to immerse the performance and spectators in magic, whilst remaining pragmatic.</p>]]></description>
