Zuberoko pastorala kanpoko euskal antzerki herrikoi landuena da. XVIII. mende aitzineko eskuizkriburik ez izanik ere, antzeztua eta kantatua den antzerki mota hori Erdi-Aroko antzerkietatik dator, hain segur ere. Jean Haritschelhar euskaltzainburu ohiak gai honetaz Biarritzeko mediatekan 2008ko agorrilaren 14an eman zuen hitzaldiaren grabaketa denen esku jartzen dugu (oharra: mintzaldia azken urteotan filmaturiko pastorala batzuen bideoz aberastua izan zen).
