Nicole Lougarot (1963 - Gotein, Soule) is a member of the Hebentik cultural association. She owes her fame in the world of Basque culture thanks to her book "Bohemians" (2009, Gatuzain). By studying the Bohemian people, she has transformed Basque society and the mascarades in Soule. She has since then studied this subject in greater detail, travelling and writing several articles. She reviews the situation and comments on the current difficulties faced by the mascarade.
