Basque culture

Basque culture counts many ways of expressing. We intend to present here some of the local cultural productions.

A whole website has been dedicated to bertsularism, the art of spontaneous sung versification. You will find it through the “bertsularism” tab. This website was created in collaboration with the Aquitanian Digital Bank of Knowledge (Banque numérique du savoir aquitain).

The other sections available through the list on the left hand side will provide the visitor with the basic elements to a better knowledge of the means used by the Basque people to express their art throughout their history.

They are also connected in priority to the artists and associations working in collaboration with the Basque culture institute in these sections.
